Golf goes indoors for winter
TRAVERSE CITY -- Ladies, as the temperature drops, you may be looking to pick up a new hobby or sport to keep yourself busy. Believe it or not, now may be the perfect time to learn how to golf.
"While your husbands are in the woods shooting deer, maybe you and your buddies can come here and learn how to play golf," said Owner of Traverse City Golf Center Doug Lichty.
"The fall and the winter is a good time to work on the skill and work on the stroke. When spring arrives, you might be ready to go on the golf course." Lichty said.
It maybe a little intimidating for a beginner on a golf course. The Traverse City golf center's facility allows players to learn about the game before even stepping on the green.
"Our outdoor range will be open as long as mother nature will let us. We do have an indoor practice area that is available year round and we're only closed on christmas and new years. Our PGA pros are both available, myself and Don are both available for lessons year round." Added Lichty.
Still feeling intimidated? tC Golf Center also has two computer golf simulators that can allow you to enjoy the sport indoors, virtually.
