MECOSTA COUNTY -- Update 4:00pm Sunday: Amber Alert has been canceled.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 5-year old girl from Mecosta County.

The Mecosta County Sheriff's Department says Desiree Taylor has been missing since 11:30am Sunday morning.

She was last seen at 2467 Corey Drive in Morley, Michigan. Authorities believe the child's father, Matthew Taylor abducted Desiree and say she is in extreme danger.

The child is described as 5 years-old, 3 feet tall and weighs about 50 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair. Desiree was last seen wearing a gray zip up, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes.

The man believed to have taken her is described as a 27 year-old white male, 5 feet 10 inches, and weighs about 182 pounds.

Matthew Taylor has brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, jeans and black tennis shoes.
