TRAVERSE CITY -- Saturday marks the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and what better way to kick things off  then a Remembrance Run in Traverse City.

More than 400 people put on their pink and hit the trails for the 2011 Remembrance Run, hosted by the Traverse City Track Club.

7&4's Diana Fairbanks was there to get things started Saturday morning.

The annual event benefits the Munson Women's Cancer Fund -- providing financial assistance to women in the area who are fighting cancer.

Organizers say its great to see the community step up and offer its support.
