Study says thousands of Michigan jobs lost to China, Mexico
An alarming new study shows just how many manufacturing jobs in Michigan have been exported.
The Economic Policy Institute found that from 2001 to 2010 the state actually lost almost 100,000 jobs to other countries. Michigan lost 80,000 jobs to China alone.
Governor Rick Snyder leaves this weekend for a trip to Asia where he will meet with investors, in hopes to bring business back to the state.
7&4's Lauren Amstutz talked with the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce and lawmakers to find out what else is being done in light of this new report.
