TRAVERSE CITY -- It was the first ever event of its kind through the American Heart Association and it took place right here in northern Michigan. HeartChase was held at the Open Space in efforts to raise money and awareness for heart disease and stroke.
The event included teams of two to five people going to various checkpoints around downtown Traverse City that involved heart healthy activities.
7&4's Melissa Smith was the chair of the event that raised more than $3,000 for American Heart Association research.
