LEELANAU COUNTY -- It was a huge turnout for the 28th annual Leelanau Harvest Tour Sunday morning.

More than 900 riders took off bright and early from Glen Lake High school, then enjoyed a long bike ride through the county.

The tour is known for it's food stops every 20 and 30 miles. Each stop is on a lakefront park with a menu that includes specialties donated by area restaurants.

Organizers say what draws people to this ride is northern Michigan's endless beauty.

The event is hosted by the Cherry Capital Cycling Club and all of the proceeds benefit TART Trails.
