PETOSKEY, MI -- The Petoskey Department of Public Safety says Timothy Farhat of Eaton Rapids stole more than $7,000 in merchandise from dozens of different stores from Mackinaw City to Petoskey.
But get this: He did it while his wife and three young children were in the store with him.
The Petoskey Department of Public Safety says Farhat used a baby stroller and stashed goods in it, and on Tuesday, police arrested the man after a store in Bay Harbor noticed he had shoplifted.
In the family car, it was packed with stolen items, ranging from clothes, rugs, mirrors, and leather motorcycle coats worth $400 a piece.
Farhat faces felony charges and a bond has been set for $10,000.
The Petoskey DPS tells us most of the items have been returned.
