TRAVERSE CITY -- The 3rd Annual Michigan Schooner Festival sailed into another day in downtown Traverse City.
Saturday was day two of the three day event. It kicked off bright and early in the Open Space in Traverse City. The festival features 8 incredible tall ships.
Events going on this weekend include ship tours, food, music and a Coast Guard water recuse demonstration.
Organizers say the schooner festival is held to promote Traverse City's boating history and also raise some money.
The even is hosted by the Maritime Hertiage Alliance who hopes to raise about $50,000 dollars this weekend.
