INTERLOCHEN -- Early Friday morning, Deputies say a 69-year-old woman was accidentally shot at a state campground.

The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office says a woman from Romulus was shot at the Dubonnet State Forest Campground in Interlochen around 3:30am Friday morning.

The woman and her brother were staying in a pop- up camper for Labor Day weekend.

The gunshot startled and woke up nearby campers -- who are now suspicious as to exactly what happened.

7&4’s Kate Fox spent the day at the campground where she got reaction from campers and the latest on the investigation.
