Drowning victim's family hires famous attorney

TRAVERSE CITY -- 7&4 News has learned that the family of the teenager who drowned after being electrocuted at Clinch Marina plan to file a lawsuit against the city.

They've hired local attorney Dean Robb along with high profile attorney Geoffrey Fieger who is best known as the defense attorney for Jack Kevorkian.

On August 15th, 18-year old Michael Knudsen drowned while swimming in the marina. Investigators say a short in an electrical line near the dock caused electrical current to enter the water and shock Knudsen.

Traverse City's manager says swimming in the marina is prohibited and they've hired Petoskey based attorney Gretchen Olsen to represent them.
