EAST BAY TOWNSHIP -- A Traverse City beach is shut down after test results show high levels of E.coli bacteria.
The Grand Traverse County Health Department issued the warning Thursday for East Bay Park. No body contact is advised at this area.
Test results showed an elevated level of E.coli at Bryant Park. Swimmers at this beach are advised to not let the water go above the waist.
E.coli levels usually increase after heavy rainfall.
