HOUGHTON -- Officials in the Upper Peninsula have found the body of a missing Emmet County woman.
The body of Valerie Palmer, 55, of Harbor Springs was found Tuesday night on Torch Bay by deputies of the Houghton County Sheriff's Office.
Palmer was visiting friends in the Houghton area when she disappeared last Saturday night. Police did report finding Palmer's purse and other belongings in a boat that did not belong to her in Torch Bay.
Investigators are not releasing any more details at this time.
