As summer draws to a close and schools around the country begin again, there's more than backpacks being packed… so are mobile phones and tablets with Apps.

There are several apps that may help students this school year.

For parents of young students, the intellijoy has a slew of great android apps aimed at helping kids learn.  Check out the kids learn to read free app, in particular.

For high school students, the accelastudy vocabulary builder   is an iPhone and iPad app to help kids improve their vocabulary. There's a free version and for $4.99, interactive study modules for the ACT and SAT. For $9.99, the company has a lot of other modules too, for foreign language study.

If you've found other apps that may be helpful to students and parents please post them in a comment below.
