CHARLEVOIX, MI -- As summer starts to draw to a close, get ready to get cozy for this week's Made with Michigan Hands.

The Hearts to Holly Quilt and Gift Shop in Charlevoix has been facilitating every cuddlers' favorite past time for almost four years and now, they've recently gotten some national attention.  Better Homes and Gardens featured the shop in their spring and summer issue of Quilt Sampler.

Susan Miller, owner of Hearts to Holly said, "This year, one of our customers, Pam Smith, submitted our information to them and they called us in September and said we were selected out of over 3,000 shops and so we were just overwhelmed and thrilled."

So, what sets them apart from the thousands of shops across North America?

Susan Miller said, "I think, because our four daughters have kind of a say in what we like to buy because, generally, when you're with a sales person, you're attracted to one type of fabric or another and when the girls give me their input, they all have their own individual personalities.  And so, I think we have something for everyone."

In fact, that variety is the inspiration for their name.

Susan Miller said, "We wanted to signify, the name to signify that we had something from the beginning of the year to the end of the year, something for every season.  So, we went with hearts for Valentine's and then holly for Christmas."

The shop also offers quilting classes and sends out a regular newsletter.
