TRAVERSE CITY -- We all know it can be a challenge to fit that daily workout or exercise in when you're on a tight schedule.  That's why certified personal trainer, Stacy Jago has a plan for people who are constantly on the go.  She says it's all about picking the right workout and getting the best bang for you buck.

Jago says picking workouts that get your heart rate going are ideal for the person on the go.  During 7&4 News Today, Jago went through five specific workouts that include energy zones for each person.  She says this will bring more awareness to their workouts, challenge them ore and in the end bring about faster changes to the body and cardiovascular system.

Also, Jago says there is a formula people can use to calculate their maximum heart rate.  Here is an example of that formula:

  • Can use 220 minus age = maximum heart rate
  • 220 minus 38 = max heart rate
  • or resting H.R.

Stacy's Heart rate Zones

  • 60%     132.8 Fat Burn
  • 70%     145.8 Aerobic
  • 80%     158.8 Anaerobic
  • 90%     171.7 V02 MAX
  • 100%   184.7
