Several beaches across northern Michigan are declared unsafe for swimmers.

Four beaches in Grand Traverse County are causing concern after high levels of E.coli. 

The Grand Traverse County Health Department issued a "No Body Contact" advisory for Traverse City State Park beach.  Three others are also causing concern with health officials asking swimmers to have "no body contact above the waist" at::  Bryant Park, East Bay Park, and West End Beach

Two beaches in Chippewa County are also under advisory.  The Chippewa County Health Department issued a "No body contact" advisory for Sherman Park in Sault Ste. Marie and Brimley State Park in Brimley.
