TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- Some of the biggest names in the auto industry are arriving in Travers City this week for the 2011 CAR Management Briefing Seminars.
The event, hosted by the Center for Automotive Research, is touted as “one of the critical connection points for North American automotive participants—and, by extension, the global industry.”
The biggest themes in this year’s conference include policy matters, emerging technology, industry uncertainty and global markets.
“What's interesting are the new suppliers that make new advancements in technology from other industries…including IT, software, communications and telecommunications….and to talk about what will be this new auto of 2025…and it could be a very very different product, hopefully a lot better and a lot safer and more efficient,” said Sean McAlinden, Ph.D., Center for Automotive Research.
On Wednesday, Chrysler and Fiat Chief Executive Officer Sergio Marchionne will be participating in a panel discussion.
