GREEN TOWNSHIP -- A domestic assault complaint led to the discovery of a meth lab and several other former meth lab site in Alpena County. The Alpena County Sheriff's Office says they were called out Thursday night to a home in Green Township.
A 30-year-old man was trying to prevent a 29-year-old woman from driving off because she was using narcotics. The woman admitted to officers that she used methamphetamine earlier and that she had chemicals and supplies in her car needed to make meth.
She also led sheriff's deputies to three other sites where she had previously manufactured meth. A cleanup effort was underway into the overnight hours.
The woman faces multiple felony charges.
