LUDINGTON -- Dozens of volunteers are expected to gather Tuesday afternoon to help in the search for 4-month-old Katherine "Kate" Phillips.

The baby was last seen June 29 with Sean Phillips.  Sean Phillips is in jail on kidnapping charges.

Investigators are planning on completing the search of the School Forest located in the area bounded by Jebavy Drive, Bryant Road, Sherman St. and John/Tinkham.  Volunteers and law enforcement will gather at 3:30 PM.

Volunteers, 18 years and older are asked to come equipped with photo I.D., water, footwear appropriate for a wooded search, brightly colored shirt/vest and a walking stick to move aside vegetation.

The search of the Millerton Road area concluded on Saturday evening.  Investigators are continuing to receive, analyze and follow-up on leads that continue to come in. When other geographical areas of interest emerge they will be searched.

As always investigators would still like to speak with anyone that saw SEAN MICHAEL PHILLIPS during the hours of 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29th, 2011. He was reported to have been seen at the Wendy's Restaurant and near the Birch Lake Apartments during that time frame.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Mason-Oceana 911 at 231-869-5858.

Persons wishing to provide information anonymously can call Silent Observer @ 888-STOPCRIME (888-786-7274).

The Ludington/Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce has agreed to receive donated funds for the purpose of establishing a reward for information related to this investigation. At this time a total of $1,125.00 has been donated.
