GRAND RAPIDS (AP) -- More than 120 Michigan Army National Guard soldiers are expected to assist with services in Grand Rapids for former first lady Betty Ford.

The guard announced Monday that the soldiers will coordinate efforts with local, state and federal agencies for security, transportation and other help.

The 93-year-old died Friday at the Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif. On Wednesday, her casket is expected to travel to Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids, where she grew up and where she met her husband of 58 years.

She is to be buried Thursday next to her husband on the grounds of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids.
