BOYNE FALLS, MI -- Friday, heart and vascular doctors from across the nation were at Boyne Mountain to share resources, collaborate, and facilitate the best ways to treat patients.
It was part of the annual Lub, Dub, and Splash Conference put on by Northern Michigan Regional Health System.
One speaker from the hospital talked about his specialty at the conference.
"It can really be life-saving, outside of risk factor modifications, diabetes, high blood pressure, smoking, and obesity, these catheter-based interventions we do really make an impact on people's lives," said NMRH Dr. Louis Aaron Cannon.
Earlier this year, Northern Michigan Regional Hospital was named the number one vascular surgery hospital in the nation.
