TRAVERSE CITY -- The National Cherry Festival is in full swing celebrating all things cherry.  In this week's Made with Michigan Hands report, we feature Michelle White, maker of Michelle's Miracle tart cherry concentrate.  In fact, Michelle has been doing product demonstrations all week long at the National Cherry Festival.

White said, "I worked at a fruit processing plant and I realized that older people were coming in and asking for tart cherry concentrate because they felt it was good for their arthritis and gout."

Michelle White saw an opportunity and she took it.

White said, "So, I just kind of took this huge leap of faith... filled out a bunch of credit card offers and I started our company and that was ten years ago and we just sold one bottle at a time and you know, beat on each door for stores to please take our product."

and so, Michelle's Miracle was born.  The process was slow, but she was passionate.

White said, "I found that there were just tons and tons of universities and research laboratories doing research that was confirming what these people were saying, that it was helping their joints and they were sleeping better."

It started off with the original tart cherry concentrate but Michelle has recently introduced a few new products.

White said, "We have a couple of different formulas.  We have a joint formula and a sleep formula, and then we have tablets for convenience.  It's hard to take a bottle of concentrate through security so, you can take your tablets."

...and this is one woman who practices what she preaches.

White said, "I just think that you should just grow up drinking cherry concentrate, and you can make it with so many different things and add it to, it's so so easy to use and fun!"
