TRAVERSE CITY -- Movie buffs are eagerly awaiting more details on this year's Traverse City Film Festival.

The full schedule of films will be released Friday morning but the organization is announcing the winner of the People's Choice survey for the Friday night Open Space film.

The movie kicking off the free films at Open Space will be "The Dark Knight".  The movie will be shown at dusk on a 100 foot inflatable screen.  The new screen is twice the size of previous festivals.  The free family films are shown as the festival’s gift to the community nightly between Tuesday, July 26 and Saturday, July 30, at dusk. Music and entertainment begins at 7 pm.

Tickets for the other films will go on sale Sunday, July 10, to Friends of the Film Festival and Saturday, July 16, to the general public.  A link to the Film Festival ticket page can be found by clicking HERE.
