CLARE CO. -- Officials are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Clare County.

Two bodies were found inside a home on Cortez Road in Garfield Township Sunday.  Randall Kram, 61, of Cedar and Carrie Kram, 51 of Lake Isabella,  were found with gunshot wounds in one of the bedrooms of the home.

Investigators say the husband and wife were separated for a period of time and Carrie Kram was visiting family members for the 4th of July holiday at the home.

An autopsy is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.

The Michigan State Police  Crime Lab was called to assist the Clare County Sheriff's Office to help investigate the crime scene.
