Crews on scene of an ORV crash in Grand Traverse Co.
GRAND TRAVERSE COUNTY -- A Traverse City man died after a motorcycle crash in south-east Grand Traverse County. The 41 year old man was riding his ORV on a trail north of Cedar Creek Road on the edge of Paradise and Union Township. His 16 year old son was riding behind him.
The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office says the man lost control, drove off the trail and hit a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet but alcohol is not believed to be a factor. The 16 year old son did not suffer any injuries.
The sheriff's office is not releasing the names of either the father or son at this time.
