Possible break in missing person's case
WELLSTON -- Investigators have a possible break in a missing person's case that stretches back to the 90's.
41-year old Vincent Adamczak vanished in August of 1995. His red car was found near his home in Wellston. That is the last trace investigators had of him, and it's also where authorities are now picking the case back up.
Investigators and prosecutors are being tight lipped about this case, but they say search warrants were issued for a home in the Wellston-Irons area.
Sources led us to a neighborhood on 12 Mile Road. Neighbors say last week dozens of state troopers spent two days searching these homes and property.
Tim Krause who lives next door to where police were searching says, "It was a spooky situation. You got police all over, you don't know if bullets will go off, it was spooky to see police out for two days straight. You wonder what's going on."
Two people that live on and near the property have been arrested. 7&4 News confirmed that one person is being held on traffic charges in Wexford County, and the other person is out on bond. The court won't release the exact charge until he is arraigned next week.
Prosecutors won't confirm or deny this is the property they searched. While they won't give us the name of the missing person surrounding this case, Vincent Adamczak is the only person that went missing from this area back in 1995.
The Little River Band of Ottawa Indians has been offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to his location.
