WELLSTON -- Michigan State Police Detectives are searching for a man who robbed a Manistee County bank at gunpoint, and they are linking him to another recent armed robbery in Lake County.

It happened just after 3:00 PM at Lake Osceola State Bank in Wellston.  The bank is located  at 17222 Caberfae Highway.

Police say the man used a black semi-automatic pistol during the robbery.   He was wearing a brown wig, aviator sunglasses and a baseball cap.  He's about 6-feet-tall and weighs between 180 and 200 pounds.

Investigators say he drove off in a car that was stolen from Clare County.  The car was found abandoned about 5-miles west of the Wellston bank on national forest land.

Police say this is the same guy who robbed the Osceola State Bank in Luther June 3rd, and believe he may have an accomplice.
