TRAVERSE CITY -- It was a push for signatures across northern Michigan Saturday afternoon.
Hundreds gathered at the Open Space in Traverse City, as well as farmers markets, and festivals in the Grand Traverse County area -- passing out and signing petitions.
These petitions would put Public Act 4 on the ballot, which would allow citizens to reject the Emergency Manager Law.
Supporters say with just over 160,000 signatures, come 2012 they can get a chance to vote and reject the EM law.
They feel this legislation is anti-democratic and ignores the rights of community members.
