GRAND TRAVERSE CO. -- A large black bear was spotted on the grounds of a Grand Traverse County school Monday.
A viewer emailed these photos of the bear that was wandering in the parking lot of Silver Lake Elementary School, which is off of West Silver Lake Road, around 7:20 AM.
After walking the grounds of the school the bear disappeared into the woods. The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office did respond to the area but the bear was not found.
Students started their summer break last week.
