TRAVERSE CITY -- It's a unique learning experience for some students from overseas.

A group of flight students from London, England are staying at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City.  The group is in town studying Aeronautical Engineering.

A grant through the NMC Foundation paid for the exchange program.

This is the first of several groups planning on taking part in the program.  Right now 21 students are taking part and they say it's a great experience.

"Over here the instructors are amazing, I think the planes are all modern, all up to date and they can't compare with any other planes in the world and just the general area - Traverse City is an amazing place to fly, beautiful place and you've got everything you need here," explains Eddie Edwards, a flight student from the U.K.

Edwards says the planes they work with in London are about 20 years older than the ones they are using at NMC.
