Parents of a missing Traverse City teenager are desperate to find their daughter who hasn't been seen for six days.

16-year-old Carly Jean Lewis was last seen on Thursday, June 2nd.

The Traverse City Police Department entered Carly into the National Crime Information Center and is asking for your help tonight.

"This has been absolutely horrible. None of us have slept over the past few days we are very worried we don't know what to do," says Sarah Rinvelt, Carly's sister.

"We are very concerned, we love her very much, we are just so worried about her right now," explains Todd Lewis, Carly's dad. "If anyone has seen her please let us know."

Carly was last seen by her mom at their home on the 900 block of Webster Street in Traverse City. The family says she was planning to meet a friend at Glen's later that day. When she didn't come home over the weekend, her parents called the police.

"We're checking into various things. The detective bureau is involved and looking into the matter hopefully we'll be able to turn up information and see where she's at," says Capt. Steven Morgan.

Police say Carly didn't show up for work at Luigi's over the weekend and she also never pick up her paycheck. By patrol car, by motorcycle they're keeping a lookout for the young girl.

Captain Morgan says, "All we care about is that Carly is found and she is ok. That's the main thing."

Family members say they want answers, they're praying she's found and won't stop searching until they find her.

Rinvelt says, ""We just want to let you know Carly, we love you. You are not in any type of trouble, we love to death all we want is to make sure you're ok."

Carly is described as a white female, 5'2", approximately 140 lbs, brown hair, and brown eyes.
