EMMET COUNTY, MI -- A Saturday morning crash on US-31 claimed the life of a Levering woman.
The Emmet County Sheriff’s office said the crash happened at 10 a.m. near Wheeling Road in Carp Lake Township.
The victim, Crystal Jutson, 21, was driving northbound when she lost control and entered oncoming traffic, deputies said. She struck a truck, injuring two people in that vehicle. Jutson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies said a portion of US-31 was closed for approximately four hours while accident investigators processed the scene.
