TRAVERSE CITY -- The Traverse City community remembered law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office, the Traverse City Police Department and Michigan State Police held a Police Memorial Day Ceremony Friday.  Dozens of people gathered at the Governmental Center for the event, which included music and a special flag raising ceremony.

The event is to recognize National Police Memorial Week.   More information can be found HERE.
