TRAVERSE CITY -- Third Level Crisis Center celebrated its 40th year helping people in times of crisis tonight.
The Art Van store on South Airport road in Traverse City opened its doors to host a party to mark the decades of service the center has provided.
Third Level helps kids, adults and families during times of difficult life transition.
They offer free counseling and other services to help people get their lives back on track.
Executive Director for Third Level Crisis Center, Ken Homa said, "Over that time, we've had the privilege of being able to partner with a lot of community member... have had interactions with other agencies and this, we just looked at as a time to celebrate those relationships."
To commemorate this milestone, Third Level is partnering with an organization called Project S.N.A.P. which stands for Share Nurture Act Preserve.
They are collecting pictures drawn by people impacted by Third Level that explain what the center means to them.
Those pictures will then be combined to create a large scale mosaic mural.
