TRAVERSE CITY -- UpNorthLIve's Facebook fans voted to learn more about Traverse City's Coop Loop for Thursday's Facebook Story of the Day.
Raising chickens in the city is a hobby that's taking off around northern Michigan. It's also the main theme of an event coming up in Traverse City.
The 2nd Annual Coop Loop is being held Saturday to educate people about what it takes to have urban chickens.
The event will lead people on a tour through downtown to several different homes where hens are being raised. It's a chance to learn about the hobby, hear fun stories and see unique coop designs.
The coop loop is saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.. You can get more information, including a map of the homes that raise chickens by CLICKING HERE.
