STANWOOD -- UPDATE: Deputies from the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office have arrested a Stanwood man, 38, for the armed robbery of the Stanwood Chemical Bank.

Police said Witness statements and video surveillance led deputies to the suspect Saturday morning.  A search warrant was obtained and with the assistance of the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, a portion of the stolen money was recovered. 

The suspect was lodged at the Mecosta County Jail and awaits arraignment in the 77th District Court. His name is not being released at this time.
