KALKASKA CO. -- A Kalkaska County teenager is dead after an ORV crash.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on W. Sharon Road between Hudson and Creighton in Springfield Township.
The Kalkaska County Sheriff's Office said the driver, Zachery Cameron, 16, was trying to climb a hill when the ORV started backing down. When the driver lost control of the vehicle, one of the passengers, Joseph Browne, was thrown. The ORV then rolled over Browne. The 16-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cameron and another teenage passenger were treated at the scene for injuries.
The Kalkaska Investigation Team is still looking into what happened.
