There's an effort to recall State Senator Howard Walker.
The petition was filed yesterday in Grand Traverse County. It says Senator Walker is unfit to represent the people due to his support of the emergency financial manager law, cuts to education funding and raising taxes on retirees and the poor.
The petition now goes to a clarity hearing May 20th for approval.
Senator Walker represents Grand Traverse, Antrim, Charlevoix, Emmet, Cheboygan, Presque Isle, Mackinac and Chippewa counties.
