GAYLORD, MI -- It was a patriotic scene outside of the Otsego County Courthouse Monday evening. Gaylord residents rallied a day after hearing the news Osama bin Laden had died.
Music filled the air as the group sang in support of the American Troops and their efforts in dealing with bin Laden and the War on Terror.
Those who showed up for the rally say they feel especially patriotic, but more importantly, proud of the men and women who make sure we live in the land of the free.
"The most important thing is the message get out to our soldiers and sailors and airmen and marines. That we love them, we respect them, we believe in them, we just care for them more than we can say," said Robert Huta, one of the rally organizers.
More than 20 people showed up to the rally outside of the courthouse.
The group also reflected on the men and women who were killed on September 11, 2001 and had a moment of silence for the troops who have lost their lives fighting the War on Terror.
