TRAVERSE CITY -- The death of Osama Bin Laden has brought back memories of the September 11, 2001 attacks.
Eighteen people from Michigan were among the 2,819 who died that day. One was a native of northern Michigan.
Brock Safronoff, a 1993 graduate of Traverse City Central High School was a computer programmer working in the World Trade Center.
Safronoff was a standout on the baseball team and went on to star at Amherst College in Massacussets.
A Brock Safronoff Scholarship Fund is set up at the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation.
