TRAVERSE CITY -- During Monday's Getting to Know the Goodwill we learned about Food Rescue of Northwest Michigan. Bruce Byl one of the co-founders and advisory board member sat down with 7&4's Melissa Smith to explain the program.
Byl says the program is the area's mobile food rescue organization. The mission is to collect soon-to-expire fresh food from restaurants and grocery stores and give it to area food pantries, shelters and community meal programs.
