MANCELONA -- The former Dura plant in Mancelona has a new owner.

7 & 4 News has confirmed that the current owner of the building at 310 Palmer Road,  has an agreement with a company that has plans to reopen the plant.  The agreement includes another former Dura plant in Lagrange Indiana.

A confidentiality agreement is keeping the details, including the exact date of sale, a secret for now.   Bob Edwards with Blu North Realty in Bellaire says more details will be announced in the coming weeks.

Dura shut down operations in Mancelona in June of 2008, leaving 300 workers unemployed.

The company who sold the plant, Amash Properties LLC owns Grip On Tools in Wayland, MI.  The company bought the former Dura building in December, 2010 as an investment.

7 & 4 News will continue to follow this breaking news story as more details are released.
