MACKINAC ISLAND, MI -- Wednesday, we told you Chris Shepler of Shepler's Ferry said he was not offered a franchise by the City of Mackinac Island.
Thursday, Mayor Margaret Doud told 7&4 Shepler's has until Friday to either accept or decline their proposed ferry franchise.
She said in Wedneday's meeting, the city offered Shepler's a two year contract, with seven percent of sales collected by the city.
Doud said Northern Ferry Company has agreed to terms of the franchise agreement , which is the same Shepler's has been offered.
She says if Shepler's agrees to the city's terms, the franchise will be granted.
