Police: Woman hurt in crash, slippery roads to blame

BIG RAPIDS TOWNSHIP, MI -- Sunday afternoon, deputies from the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle accident on Woodward Avenue in Big Rapids Township. 

Deputies said A Dodge minivan, driven by a female, 45, from Big Rapids, lost control on the slippery roads and struck a tree. 

The woman was pinned in the van and had to be extracted by Big Rapids Township Rescue. 

She was transported to the Mecosta County Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
