VANDERBILT, MI -- Bay Mills Indian Community appealed the preliminary injunction granted by a federal judge that closed the Vanderbilt Casino Tuesday.
Bay Mills' lawyers sent a notice of appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Tuesday, Federal Judge Paul L. Maloney granted preliminary injunction in favor of the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians as the courts determine whether or not the Vanderbilt Casino is legal and on "Indian land."
