East Jordan teacher charged with assaulting student

EAST JORDAN, MI -- An East Jordan teacher is out on bond after being arrested for assaulting a student.

On March 3rd, a police liaison officer investigated claims that Paula Vollbach hit a student.

The report was turned to the Prosecutor who issued a warrant for assault charges.

Vollbach turned herself into the Charlevoix County Sheriff's Office Wednesday.

She is to have no contact with the student  and is not allowed on East Jordan school property.
