PETOSKEY, MI -- Petoskey Department of Public Safety will be presenting their 2010 merit awards to deserving officers at the city council meeting next Monday.

Public Safety Officers Dan Smith and Randy Davis will be presented with Public Safety Commendations for their efforts in investigating a large fire in Bay Harbor.

Lt. Matt Breed, Public Safety Officers Randy Davis, Dan Smith, Mike Parker, Todd Troxel, Scott Gosciak, Larry Donovan, Ben Carlson, Detective Dave Schultz, and Firefighters Don Boening, Tim Goodwin, and Scot O’Neil will receive Public Safety Lifesaving Awards for their actions in saving the life of a fellow department member who suffered a heart attack in February of 2010.   

A list of other awards that will not be presented that night is attached.  Further details on those awards can be obtained by calling Director John Calabrese at 231-347-2500.   

The awards were considered and awarded by the Petoskey Department of Public Safety Honor Board of Review.  The Honor Board of Review is made up of Director John Calabrese, Lt. Tony Rice, and Public Safety Officer Scott Gosciak.
