TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- Traverse City Firefighters Eric Jackson and Thomas Thompson have been awarded a Life Saving Award by Fire Chief Jim Tuller.
The award was given for actions performed during a rescue on January 22, 2011. Chief Tuller said the firefighters rescued a man from an apartment fire at 790 Center Place.
A ceremony was held Saturday afternoon at the Traverse City Fire Station.
