TRAVERSE CITY -- Restaurant owners are prepping for the last night of the First Annual Traverse City Restaurant Week, which is proving to be quite successful.
Owner of Amical Dave Denison says restaurant week has brought in tons of folks in what otherwise is a very slow time of the year. He says the multi-course meal menus attract a new crowd of diners which is refreshing to see.
Manager of Stella's Sarah Bielman is also reporting big numbers and says they are up almost 50% this week compared to this time last year.
Chefs at both restaurants are busy prepping the kitchen for Saturday night's big rush.
Stella’s Head Chef Myles Anton says they have gone through tons of local meat--a quarter of a cow, almost 50 chickens, and an entire pig.
