TRAVERSE CITY -- The Traverse City First Robotics District Competition wrapped up Saturday and it was all about some high-tech competition.
Teams from across northern Michigan met at Traverse City Central High School to put their robots to the test.
Each team was given a "kit of parts" and had six weeks to build their robot for the competition.
The focus is to create a high energy environment that allows adult mentors to work side by side with students to show how much fun engineering, math and science are.
Teams were rewarded for excellence in design, team spirit, professionalism and the ability to overcome obstacles.
